Audi's ?five-door coupe, an ostebsible competitor? to the Mercedes-Benz CLS and BMW 5 Series Gran Turismo, gets two new powertrains this year: efficiency-minded style afficionados can choose a 240-hp 3.0L TDI diesel engine, and drivers more focused on performance can have the RS 7, a 560-hp beast powered by a turbocharged 4.0L V8. Carried over from last year are the A7 3.0T, with a 320-hp supercharged V6, and the S7, which uses a less-potent version of the RS 7's motor.
The A7 line begins with the 3.0T and TDI Progressiv models, which comes with 19-inch wheels, walnut dark brown interior trim, Xenon headlights, sunroof, hands-free power tailgate, auto-dimming exterior mirrors, dual-zone automatic climate control, leather heated steering wheel with shift paddles and electric tilt and telescope adjustment, leather seats, eight-way power front seats with driver lumbar and memory, heated front and rear seats, auto-dimming rearview mirror, 10-speaker stereo with MMI controller, satellite radio, Bluetooth, music interface, colour driver information display, Homelink, intelligent keyless entry, front and rear park assist, cruise control, Audi drive select and interior ambient lighting.
3.0T and TDI Technik models add unique 19-inch wheels, steerable headlights, electrically-foldable outside mirrors, four-zone automatic climate control, rear-window sunshade, navigation with MMI controller, corner-view camera and Audi side assist with rear pre-sense.
S7 builds on Technik trim and adds 20-inch wheels, carbon atlas interior trim, sport rear differential, adaptive air suspension, S-specific bumpers, LED headlights, aluminum exterior mirror housings, Valcona leather seats, sport front seats and 14-speaker stereo.
The RS 7 builds on the S7 and adds an RS-tuned air suspension.
