The Savana is GMC's full-size van, a mechanical twin to the Chevrolet Express and competitor to the likes of Mercedes' Sprinter and Nissan's NV. Available in 2500 and 3500 models, engine choices include 4.8L (285 hp/295 lb-ft of torque) and 6.0L (329 hp/373 lb-ft) gas V8s, and a 6.6L Duramax diesel V8 (260 hp/525 lb-ft); a six-speed automatic is standard with all engines.
Last year's AWD option is gone, making all models RWD. A locking rear differential is still available.
Standard features include black painted bumpers, swing-out 60/40 split passenger-side doors, 16-inch wheels, power locks, air conditioning, audio system provision, driver information centre, LED cargo area lighting, two 12-volt outlets, and a 110-volt power outlet.
