Acura RSX 2000-2018Change

The RSX Type-S is a car that has a good balance between fun, practicality, and fuel economy. The 2.0L i-VTEC engine is happy to rev up while still maintaining great mileage and providing a flat torque curve. The 6-speed transmission shifts effortlessly and smoothly into the desired gear. The suspension is a bit firm for confirm but rewards you with crisp handling.

Bought the car a while back and even now with over 250K on it still runs really well. Ride is pretty smooth, good fuel economy. Somewhat small inside but it's perfect for my needs. Going to buy another Acura soon for sure.

the car rides amazingly good. it's really smooth and fun to drive around. it's good to get you to places. it's a very lovable car. easy to get used to it. it was kept clean the whole time i had it. I only drove it to work or school. only for emergency most of the time. very economic on gas. i didn't do many miles with it. personally i loved the car

I've had my 2002 RSX since Halloween 2006. It has an aftermarket Greddy turbo kit. It really adds some oomph. The drive train has held up well considering the extra power. I just replaced on original driveshaft back in July 2016. On the engine I've only had to replace an original broken knock sensor. I always use synthetic oil and premium gas. Mine has lowering springs so rides a bit stiff but nothing punishing. The cargo room is great. I fit in four 19 inch tires and a sub box with the seat backs down. The fuel economy is decent. I get about 400 kms (250 miles) until the low fuel light in town with spirited driving. The cons are I wish it had a bit more technology like steering wheel controls. Plus the seats are a bit firm and the stitching isn't too strong. The build quality is quite good though.

Very safe and reliable with excellent control, especially on the highway. Highly recommend the vehicle to any one who is looking for a sporty and exciting rider. Go for it!

This car is the most reliable vehicle that I have ever driven/owned. It may be a 2002 year, but it is still solid both in body and in motor. I give credit to Honda for making a vehicle that cat perform like this in handling, performance and in reliability.

Had the RSX for 8 years since it was 2 years old. Never had one problem, just turn on and drive. The fuel economy is very good and ride quality/feel is excellent. Very elegant design and a lot of space to carry things. Overall, excellent car, it has quality in everything.

I bought this car for my daughter to use while going to university. I went with the Acura line due to its reputation for safety, quality and reliability, and this car met every expectation. The car has a 2.0 litre engine which delivers excellent gas millage, and good performance given its size. I see many of these cars with well over 300,000 KM, and still going strong. The car is now close to 260,000 KM, and doesn't leak or use any oil between oil changes. This car is fun to drive, and has enough headroom for a person 6'2".
If you are looking for a safe, fun and reliable vehicle, this is it. It is too bad Acura stopped making these cars.

I've owned this car since brand new and even 10 years on it's a fantastic ride. People still think it's a new car given its style. Most importantly, it's incredibly reliable. As far as drawbacks, there isn't a lot of room at the foot area for the passenger as there's some sort of bulkhead protruding. The base model could use a tad more power but on the whole I think it's an excellent used model choice. Acura/Honda designed a wonderful product.

Bought this car new and have nothing but good to say about the Acura RSX-Type S.
Have driven it to California, Texas, Alaska and Ontario so have lots of highway experience. Handles very well and has all the power and passing ability one could want. When you need the "get up and go" for passing a slower vehicle, just step on the gas and the iVTech kicks in all 210 HP and gives you a turbo like boost at 6000 rpm. Gives one a great deal of confidence to pass that trailer/truck/RV, etc. on any road.
Also, because of the front wheel drive, I never had any problems with winter driving even with all season tires since all the vehicle weight sits over the drive wheels and gives needed traction.
The hatchback design has proven incredibly useful for cargo.
With the back seats down and covered with a mat, I have been able to carry just about anything, including my 130 lb. dog !
And all this in a GREAT looking vehicle.
Long Story Short.....if they still made this car (which they don't), I would buy a new one without hesitation.

Great car, especially for a young person who doesn't care about looking middle-aged and who has to drive a lot, particularly through busy city traffic. Lots of fun to drive, and reliable!

This car is great on gas, no oil leaks or fumes. All it needs is a paint job and it's as good as new. It also has a great sound system! A perfect first car or even just a car to get from point A to point B.

Amazing handling and high revving V-tech power make this a fun car to drive, with a simple clean look that turns heads. Fully equipped with all the bells and whistles of the era make this a solid combination of sports performance and luxury. Never any problems other than 1 flat tire in 8 years. Meticulously cared for, with all service and genuine Acura parts by the professionals at the local Acura. All oil changes and recommended maintenance always on time. Most of the mileage has been highway driving. High end alignment performed using Acura NSX laser equipment for aftermarket tires and rims. Aftermarket air intake make a tasteful growl at higher RPM's, but no aftermarket exhaust so it is not too loud. Aftermarket coilovers create responsive handling to go with the tires for incredible connection between the road surface and the driver. All in all, this is an extremely well maintained premium Acura sports coupe that maximizes your fun driving experience!

Drove my 02 for 10 years to work and back (100 + K) and did not have a single failure. Fun to drive, great grip on the road and still looks cool.

Excellent experience overall. I bought this car used and have had this car for over 6 years. I still experience the joy and excitement now, as when I first got it - getting up to highway speed is always a joy. It still looks new and drives like new according to my Honda mechanics. It has a solid feel when going over ruts in payment, unlike older Civics, Vibes, Matrix's, Kias, and Hyundais, which have a cheap tinny sound when driving at highway speeds. The only issue I have experienced is with the leather seats. The bolsters seemed to wear quickly. Highly recommended

This car is just an amazing drive and looks great inside and out. I would reccomend this to anyone who has some spare change in their pocket and is willing because it is well worth the price.

I've had my RSX for about 6 months and i love my car. Its fa st and i love its sleek design. It does handle well but has a very stiff suspension and can be uncomfortable at times when driving over bumps. This is also my first 2 door car and i dislike having to get out constantly to let people out. Overall i would recommend this car to anyone who is interested in tuners.

My RSX Type S
Hands down the best car I have ever owned. Although it only has 60,000K it has never given me any problems what so ever. Always winter stored and maintained , car is literally in showroom condition. but its time to part ways with it, and for someone else to enjoy it. even thou this review is biased it is a great car and will last the new owner a long time. Please have a look and consider our RSX. This has been a fantastic low-maintenance car that our friends always remark about. It still looks great after 10 years. My wife and I are the only owners. We've upgraded to a new car and can't keep the RSX. It's like saying goodbye to an old friend, but sometimes you have to move on. Make us a good offer and we'll consider it. Thanks.

Car turns and handles very well and has a very comfortable ride. The performance is great especially considering the fuel economy. I have taken long drives in this car comfortably and sped through back country roads with joy. Excellent all round car.

This car is extremely inexpensive to own an is very fun to drive. It feels light and nimble which instills confidence that you know exactly where the edge of traction is. It is very comfortable for 2 adults, and with the rear seats down you can pack a lot of stuff into it. The rear seats are not very useful for adults. The exhaust provides a growl that kept me looking for an excuse to put the windows down. :o)

I wish I could keep it, but I need something that seats 4 adults for car pooling.

The title describes the three assets that this car has. The car is a perfect coupe for racers out there.

I have been driving my 2002 Acura RSX since I was 18 and I still love it, although it is finally starting to feel a bit dated. I am extremely disappointed that they discontinued the line (as my first car was a 1988 Acura Integra). I have never had any mechanical problems with it, although there were some issues at one point with the computer system (which they fixed for free at the dealership!). My one complaint is that the paint on the red model I own has become very faded over time, though this may be the case with all vehicles with bright red paint.

I've driven all over Canada with the 2010 Acura RSX and it's a great car, It's never once failed me and It's noise reduction system is unparallel. It's a great affordable car and It's footprint is hardly noticible. I fell in love with the car the moment I seen it.
