Ford Fiesta 1995-2017Change

The car has proven to be reliable. There have been minor issues with the transmission but Ford covered it under warranty and it has worked fine ever since.
It now has over 100,000 km and I am satisfied with it.
It would nice if they made the seats more comfortable.
I like the idea that back seat folds down to give a greater carry capacity. The truck is large for this size of vehicle. If you want a good economical car I recommend the Fiesta.
The next time I would buy one with air conditioning and cruze control.

This is a car that is not very perfect at all but it can be in a possible matter a viable and driveable vehicle. I see issues with mainly fuel economy and comfort. Very ok vehicle but definitely nothing too special at all.

I have had no problems with this car, it has been very dependable, and gets great gas mileage. Very comfortable to drive and I love it

I bought this car new and have had no issues with it to date. It is comfortable as can be expected for it's size and has lots of get up and go especially with the Standard 5 speed.

My ford fiesta ha been a real value for money. Excellent performance on highways and in city traffic. Decent fuel economy and power. I will recommend it to anyone considering a new car.

Looks sensational (lots of options for a look that suits you) from brash and bold to classy and understated. Drives like a dream - superb handling and plenty of power. Very enjoyable.

I've owned this vehicle for a year now, and it has been reliable for getting to work and travelling between Ottawa and Toronto. Haven't had any issues with it so far.

I am not sure if it would be as difficult if I had a handbook, but I got it used, and therefore without instructions getting it to sync to my ipod is not working. Other than that it drives really well with good visitbility

I got this car about 9 months ago and I love it. It's small, comfortable and the overall design is great. The fuel economy is great, I travel a lot and only need to fill up my tank every two weeks or so. Even if it's small, there is tons of space for the people in the back.

this is a good car for getting around town but on the highway the pickup is slow. It is good on gas and has a lot of room for storage.

Had my car for 4 years. Still looks great. So good on fuel! It's a bit tight in the back seat for passengers, but 95% of the time it's just me in the car, maybe with one passenger, so the space hasn't been a problem. Trunk is big enough for me for sure. I really love this car!

This car is excellent on gas in town and seems great on the long haul too. I've owned this car for 4 years and i haven't had a problem with the transmission. For a smaller car, there is a lot of room up front. In the back..... not so much... you definitely have to move the seats forward to let children and adults in the back. I don't recommend this car for parents with kids in car seats or boosters. Way too small!

Although I gave my car an overall good rating, the worst area is the automatic transmission. It is the worst on the market ever. Shuddering shifts, hesitation, and 3 replaced clutch packs. If I own this car longer, I'm sure it would require a clutch pack per year of ownership. Ford should be ashamed of themselves for selling such a poor drive-ability car. The standard shift car is great if you are a manual driver. My recommendation is to buy a Chevy Sonic or Chevy Spark. Both excellent cars.

I have owned this car now for 3 unfortunate years. I cannot even remember how many times I have taken this car in for a transmission replacement. I bought the car after my Rio was written off. I was in a hurry and didn't do my research. I am not impressed with this car at all. I would not recommend this to anyone!

Nice little car very good on fuel, ride very well in city. with good handling, heated seats, great A/C , holds the road very well fits into tight parking spots, fun colours,. Blind side-view mirrors make the passing very safe, plenty of eye room even with a hatchback

Good handling and fuel economy; love the five speed! The car has all the bells and whistles; holds the road well and very comfortable ride with plenty of eye room for make those transitions when passing; oh yes the blindside side-view mirrors are grate for this. Good starter car for a student or just starting out in a new job.

transmission -junk worst i have ever had the pleasure of owning.
been out 2times for clutch discs, 3rd time the diff. and tranny all went at once.On the free way at 110k howling thought was tires ,it was tranny,good thing it didnt go while driving. + fantastic gas mileage, very good around town,if it werent for the "new" style transmission it would be a great car, did i mention the A/C works fantasic, wont buy another just on the "transmission

Here are just a few of the issues after 7000km:

-Grinding transmission when shift gears and very unresponsive in shifting into 2nd gear. Make sure if buying from a dealer they address via the TSB's. I also received a letter from Ford extending my transmission warranty (they know its garbage as well.)

-Gas mileage misrepresented by Ford-gas mileage is in the 10l/100k city real life

-Blower fan froze up in cold temps. Ford knows this is an issue with the design of their hood vents and will only fix once you encounter a problem (your fan will not work on the coldest day of the year). Make sure dealerships fix this via TSBs (numerous TSB's on the issue -numerous Fiesta model years) before you drive off the lot.

At this stage I am considering my next options CAMVAP or just selling this car.

This car is very good on fuel, perfect for city driving.
Small car, fits into tight parking spots, fully loaded with great features and comes in fun colours.
Very reliable.

Very fuel efficient. Love the design, both the exterior and especially the interior. ESPECIALLY when sitting as the driver.

since i bought the car the first clutches were bad, then they put in new clutches and these were worse and they have put in computer programs and now my car is driving worse then before and they are ordering brand new clutches again
this was my first new car and i have never been so disappointed , don't know if i would recommend a fiesta again

My girlfriend bought this car in 2012. We just traded it in for a Hyundai. We decided to get rid of this car because Ford refused to fix the clutches on a car that was still under warranty. The car is automatic but has a dual clutch system that is just horrendous. The car failed to accelerate at least 5 times above 5km/hr in the middle of an intersection, it also would jolt everytime you accelerate from a stoped position it was so bad it would fling your head back and forth These problems started only 4 months after buying it brand new from the dealer. We took it to two different ford dealers and were given the run around and they told us it would take them 6 months to go through the entire process! They knew what was wrong with it but refused to take any action towards it. They car was only a year and a half old. We will never buy a ford again and have taken our money elsewere!

This car gets better gas mileage than my motorcycle!
The car is brand new. I don't want to sell it but I need to pay off some other debt. The car is perfectly clean - inside and out. Driving it away today would be like buying it from a lot. Satellitel radio, air conditioning, two sets of tires on rims. Complete Maintenance Package for all oil changes, filter changes, brake shoe replacements that runs until 2016.

I have driven this car to Ontario and back twice and it is a 21hr drive. I was able to sleep in the back seat quite comfortably and i could drive for 6+ hours without needing to stretch my legs. I'm 5'11". for a small car it is really a nice car.
