Very reliable
I have owned this van for a long time. It is dependable. Freestars are no longer produced, and have been replaced by the Town and Country.

Very reliable and comfortable 2005 Ford Freestar
This vehicle has been very reliable over the years and comfortable on long distance trips. All 4 captain chairs recline and very spacious. Lots of storage room, especially with rear bench seat put down. Good fuel mileage; approx. 27 mpg on highway.

It has served us very well!

Very reliable and spacious.
Very reliable vehicle, very good for big family. With 3d row folded could easily put 3 bikes. Good on gas on highways (11 L/KM).

Served my family well
Have used this car to shuttle my family and friends from hockey, to mountain biking to road trips. Lots of space and easy to drive. Everything you want in a minivan. More bells and whistles and less expensive than a Honda.

Reliable
Excellent vehicle, never breaks down. Not only does it handle and drives great it has lots of room. On many occasion I have hauled full sheets of drywall, plywood, and other large items with no issues.

Only downside is the large 4.2 liter engine requires a lot of gas, but it does have a lot of power and is easy to drive on the highway because there is a lot of passing power

The Best Family Car
My kids hate me for selling this car. It has everything they want. DVD player, extra chargers, comfy seats and lots of space. I love the performance - Awesome pick up with the 4L engine. The downside of course is the fuel economy - but it is a van after all. It's not fancy but it's got that big fat american comfort factor. I really think it's the best family car we've ever had - but my husband wants an SUV:(

Reliable & Practical
We knew what we bought when we bought it in 2005. It has served us well and performance was actually better than expected. It's not flashy but it has been unbelievably reliable for us. Never an issue. We're only selling it because kids are grown up and we bought a new vehicle. Absolutely nothing wrong with it (except perhaps cosmetically) as it's been loved for 8 years. A few scratches and stains but that's it.

2013 Ford Freestar

Beautiful Ride
It's amazing, I love everything about it. Car rides are a million times more enjoyable for me and the rest of the family. I actually like going for road trips, the front seat has a heater in it so that when we're driving on cold winter days I can instantly warm up my tushy. The vehicle also comes with a million other great features including a built in DVD player for the kids so that I can get some peace and quite on the road. I would definitely recommend this vehicle to anyone, seeing as I have a larger family we've been through our fare share of vehicles and this one by far has to be the most comfortable one yet. The best thing about the car is it's safe, My mother got in an accident and came out Scratch free of what the officer said looked like she should have been severely injured. So YAY for my car! I may not be that technical with all the amazing abilities but I do know one thing, and that's that this car is perfect for any sized family, or even the single guy or gal who likes some adventure or going out with friends. Or even if you just need a stable reliable vehicle, this is the one for you. And I guarantee you will love it as much as I do.

Not bad...not good either!
I purchased this vehicle in Sept 2012 - it had 141000 and I got a 'really good deal'! Truly, the vehicle seemed in excellent condition...but I purchased it right at the point in its life that it started costing money.
First the alternator dies - then, during the ensuing tune-up, I discover that the a previous tune-up only 3 of the 6 plugs were changed (the others must've been too hard to get at).
All in all, I've put 35,000 km on it since Sept last year, a lot I know, but after fixing all the niggling things (and spending about $2k) the van runs out quite well. A little hard on fuel, but its got a 4.2 litre engine and what it lacks in mileage it more than makes up for it with power when you want it.

Rattle of a ride
After owning my vehicle for several years, I can honestly say that it's a terrible van.
This van is a pretty rough ride as it ages, and make more rattling noises no matter the amount of money you put into it. I had it completely checked over & the front end completely done at a cost of more than $3000 but it still rattles.
The design of the rear seatbelt from the ceiling is most annoying as well as it's directly in my line of sight in the rearview mirror. In addition, the cheap plastic handles for the 3rd seat broke very easily.

Great Van
I really like this van when you have a family. There are 5 different places where you can hook the teather strap for a carseat, lots of leg room for the adults and the ability for the passengers to watch a dvd, or play video games.

I bought the van used with 109000km on it and i've had for 3 full years without any issues.

I would recommend it to others.

Awesome Family Vehicle
You aren't going to get the fuel economy of car-that is a given. You aren't forking out big bucks like a truck though either. It is comfortable to drive, has enough oomph to make long road trips comfortable and are super comfy for the kids. The back 3 seats aren't meant for adults for long road trips, but in a pinch they are great. The full down seat capabilities is what sold us on buying this new used vehicle. Only wish that Ford was still making them so that we could trade up in the future.
