With an all-new X1 waiting in the wings for the 2016 model year, BMW's entry-level crossover moves unchanged into 2015.
It continues to be offered in xDrive 28i and xDrive 35i variants: 28i trim uses a turbocharged 2.0L four-cylinder engine making 240 hp and 258 lb-ft of torque, mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission, while the 35i model gets a turbocharged 3.0L inline six good for 300 hp and 300 lb-ft, paired with a six-speed automatic. Both come standard with xDrive AWD.
The xDrive 28i starts out with 17-inch wheels, automatic headlights and adaptive brakelights, fog lights, heated side mirrors and windshield washer jets, tire pressure warning, rain-sensing wipers, dynamic cruise control, tilt-and-telescopic steering column, six-way manual heated front seats, leatherette upholstery, dual-zone automatic air conditioning, stereo with CD player, auxiliary and USB inputs, and Bluetooth.
xDrive 35i trim adds chrome trim to the front grille, and black chrome exhaust tips in place of matte chrome.
