What’s New/Key Changes From Last Year
Changes for 2021 are minor. Chevrolet has added wireless smartphone integration, which joins the traditional wired setup.
Available Trims
Chevrolet offers the Corvette as a coupe and convertible in 1LT, 2LT and 3LT trim levels. All use a 6.2L V8 engine, a dual-clutch eight-speed automatic transmission and rear-wheel drive.
Standard Features
Corvette’s 1LT trim includes a limited slip differential, 19-inch front/20-inch rear wheels/tires, heated/power side mirrors, carbon flash exterior trim, LED headlights, a 12-inch driver info display, power seats, a 10-speaker stereo, an 8.0-inch infotainment display, cruise control, dual-zone A/C, passive keyless entry, a leather-trimmed steering wheel, leather upholstery, power doors/windows, electric steering column adjustments, rear park assist, remote engine start, and wireless smartphone integration.
2LT trim adds navigation, power-folding/driver auto-dimming side mirrors, a 14-speaker stereo, cargo nets, navigation, front camera views, a head-up display, ventilated seats, performance data recorder, lumbar adjustments, a rear camera mirror, rear cross traffic alert, blind spot monitoring, an anti-theft system, an integrated garage door remote, and wireless smartphone charging.
3LT trim brings a full leather interior, upgraded seats with carbon fibre trim, Nappa leather upholstery, and suede microfibre interior trim.
Key Options
Corvette options are limited to a Z51 performance package designed for track use and fitted with Brembo brakes, performance suspension/exhaust systems, an electronic limited slip differential, aero-enhanced front and rear bumpers, a heavy-duty cooling system, and summer-only tires.
Fuel Economy
Chevrolet’s fuel consumption estimates for the Corvette are 15.4/8.7 L/100 km (city/highway).
Competition
The Chevrolet Corvette is a supercar at a relatively affordable price, which gives it an advantage against prestige sports cars like the Porsche 911, Audi’s R8, the Acura NSX, numerous Aston Martin offerings, and various Italian exotics.
