I DROVE TOWN CARS MY WHOLE LIFE UNTIL 1998 WHEN I BOUGHT MY FIRST TAHOE AND A SUBURBAN IN 2003,I HAD SWORN BY THE SUBURBAN TAHOE BRAND UNTIL I GOT MY FIRST EXCURSION LTD.AS A FORMER PARAMEDIC SINCE 1982 AND THEN AN EXECUTIVE PROTECTION SECURITY ESCORT COMPANY OWNER SINCE 1987.I HAVE SEEN 100s OF MOTOR VEHICLE ACCIDENTS.YOU CANNOT EVADE THE FACT THAT THE FORD EXCURSION IS ONE OF THE SAFEST VEHICLES TO EVER DRIVE SHORT OF A TANK.GAS PRICES A SIDE,THE EX IS THE UNTIMATE FAMILY AND OR WIVES RIDE YOU COULD EVER PUT YOUR LOVED ONES SAFETY IN.THE SAFETY IS UNQUESTIONABLE....

Bought this car with the intention to keep it forever. Took it on a trip to Central Mexico and back to Langley, lots of cross country trips down in Mexico later, the vehicle still runs like new. Very comfortable, heavy duty construction, stronger frame than many newer model trucks that need to save more gas. Very well built. Enjoyed using it through snow and deserts, mountains and through open fields (no streets). 4x4 with the simple switch comes in handy. One of the biggest SUV ever made, lots of space (up to 11 occupants). Would buy it again.

This car drove great. There was lots of space and very comfortable. The diesel engine provides an economical means of transportation. I would recommend this vehicle to anyone looking for comfort and reliability.

We were able to purchase a Limited Edition of the Ford Excursion and it's unfortunate that they don't make it anymore. It's a great vehicle, ours is a diesel engine which makes it great on gas. It's a quiet, comfortable ride that can go long distances. Some bonuses - spacious, heated front seats, 6-disc CD holder, leather interior, and an ultimate beast!

Great for a family with 3 kids and 2 big dogs. LOTS of room for extra people or groceries (or both) in this truck. Yes it uses more fuel then a car or small SUV, but its worth it. We drove a Chev pickup before our Excursion and the fuel cost was not that much more in the excursion.

Extra large people mover and tow machine. Not a great daily driver due to its size and lack of fuel economy but is great for what it is meant for, large families going camping. In diesel form it has great power to tow just about anything. This truck is not the easiest to park it also has a large blind spots so city driving to grocery stores you will be parking at the back of the lot. The 7.3 diesel has bad oil pans that rust out, only major complaint.
