GMC Sierra 1500 Pickup 1967-2013Change

No major mechanical problems with this truck ... EVER!!!
It pulls travel trailers and boats with ease ... and for city/highway driving ... you simply cannot beat the fuel economy of this full-size truck!

My experience with it has been amazing. People drive away from you as if they're scared of you; it's the greatest feeling in the world.

Overall a Great Pickup truck, comfortable,towing power galore, a great look. Fuel economy is not the best but quite reasonable for the size of the vehicle, there are worse out there. The 4.8L is not the most reliable in older age, but the 5.3l is definilty the option to look for.

This truck has been great for us. In the winter we go south and pull our fifth wheel with it. It does the job very well. In the summer we use it to pull our 22 foot boat and it does a great job doing that too. It is also a very comfortable truck for long trips. We love our truck.

The Sierra is a good working truck but the fuel economy could be better. All in all I enjoy my truck ;)

I have had my truck for 7 years and completely love it - needing something bigger when the kids start coming into my life.

very loyal car, lasts long and is cheep to fill. one of the best vehicle i have ever owned. Would recommend this vehicle to others who are currently interested in purchaseing a new family vehicle

The gas mileage in this car is terrible, otherwise the vehicle is great. Other then the electrical problems that GMC is known for, I.E. Headlights, switches, etc.

the 351 vortec V8 is an amazing engine as well.

WE love the GMC sierra with its stylsh details and available 5.3 L engine. It allows for us to tow our livestock trailer without having to be uncomfortable. Its work and play all in one!

This was the first vehicle that I ever owned. I loved the style of the old style truck with the bench seat which made it quite comfortable and a great truck to just drive around in. 1/2 tonne trucks are now a lot heavier than they used to be so performance as a work truck was limited. It also was in continual need of repairs which resulted in the truck being a money-pit.

Bought this truck two years ago and havent had an trouble with it...311,000 kms and still going strong....I pull trailers etc and its a great ride.....Very impressed....

My experience with this truck was great! I dealt with the diesel version and it was always reliable. I know it would've been off the garage jacks more if my boyfriend at the time didn't drive it so hard (ripping through fields and trails, pulling cut up I-beams in a trailer, and bogging through a fresh pool of mud). He wasn't kind to it and yet the truck (surprisingly) held up well. Don't get me wrong - it had it's fair share of repairs - but this all happened when he came into possession of it AFTER it sat in a field for 2 years untouched. How crazy is that? It's still in good shape and he does constant tune-ups on it just because he loves it so much. I want one of my own actually! =)

My boyfriend owned a truck like this but it was diesel. It was perfectly reliable after sitting in a field, untouched for 2 years (when he asked the owner if he could have it). It ran well, sounded good, he did regular work on it and fixed any whatsits it had wrong. He drove it hard, loved to bog down in mud, rip through hilly trails and pulled I-beams he cut up in a trailer - he worked this truck ridiculously hard. Because of this it had its fair share of repairs, and then some. However, I know if he treated it kinder it would've been perfectly fine, it was all winter! Therefore I'd rate this truck a 4.5/5 so long as you don't mindlessly abuse it! =)

The interior is really cramped, and the car's starting to fall apart now. NOt the best designers, apparently. But it does look cool.
except that it handles terribly, so you can barely go around corners now.

overall good except the milage. Have had no engine problems 30000 k so far and still running strong. the milage also got alot worse when i added new 24 inch rims and i can say that is the only down side to the truck im sure the bigger engine is better but i work the 4.8l way to hard so thats the bottom line

I love this vehicle for its smooth ride and reliability. We live in northern alberta so we need a durable vehicle for the snowy, icy roads.

This is a very reliable vehicle so far. Only one problem due to faulty parts, but other than that..it has been great! The heater in this GMC is wonderful!! There's no happy medium, but living in Canada that is a great thing! :) Always warms up fast and drive nicely as well. I would recommend for family and to just have a safe vehicle.

Overall this has been a great truck. Used primarily as a 2nd vehicle. From April to Nov truck is used to tow a 3.5 ton travel trailer. No problem hauling on a flat surface but struggles somewhat on hill which is normal. Extremely comfortable and quiet ride. Truck sits higher than the old body style (pre 2007) Sierra which is great for loading and heavy trailer tongue weights. Very satisfied!

This crew cab truck has served me right and still is.. It's reliable, gives a good ride. I love that it's 4wd. In the 4 yrs I had this truck I took really good care of it, washed it every weekend, undercoated it every year..

Nice truck great cobiantion of power and fuel economy would like to more technoligy in the dash touch screen ect

just bought the truck 4 days ago. I love it. Fully loaded, chrome package, heated leather seats, full back seat. Handles like a dream.

I love this truck, great fuel milage, the seats are so comfortable that you could fall asleep while driving. No high tech buttons or gadgets on the dash, all in all a great truck!!

Have had this truck for 4 years now, no mechanical issues except for the normal wear and tear ie. brake pads, oil changes ect. Its a good reliable unit.
