It's a good buy for the price.
I drove this car locally and on 400 series highways. It is good on gas. The interior is clean and comfortable.

Reliable Mazda 626
I have owned this car for 6 years and has been the best little car I have owned. Economy is awesome while not sacrificing performance. The2.0L 5pd has the best fuel economy. The interior is bullet proof and after 21 years has no rips or tears. I would by another Mazda in a heartbeat. If you are looking for reliable car at a reasonable price Mazda's got it!

over yonder
Had to leave town with a friend to attend their dad's funeral and i didn't think the car would be comfortable but the 10 hour ride there was smooth and more or less stress free but the seats could have been slightly more comfortable.

Best First Car
This was my first car, the night rider. Through the last 6 months of 2006, this was my car. Until I had a New Years Eve party and my dad took it away and sold it. The car put up with A LOT. it was 13 years old when I got it with 300,000km on it. Still ran so well..... I miss it.

Dependable and trustworthy
I"ve had this car for a little over 3 years and can easily say that it has required very little other than regular oil changes since i've had it . It is not a daily driver as i usually walk to work but it has taken me as far as Toronto to NYC round trip with no complaints.

Great Car
Had it since 1999 when I bought it new and still runs great. Has never had any big issues. Small leak here and there but overall a great reliable car. I recommend for sure!

5 Speed with good handling and decent interior at it's age. Smooth shifts and no problems mechanically within 200k. Very happy with vehicle.

BEST CAR EVER
This was my first 5 speed car and I loved it. The interior was designed like a cockpit with all controls easily available to the driver. It was very easy to handle and drove like a dream. It was very good on gas even after owning it for 10 years! Loved it all together.

fast and nice
-power steering is nice smooth on turns. Suspension, axles, brakes and electrics are where potential trouble may lie, so inspect these closely. Spacious cabin, large boot space, good to drive, well equipped, Long boot, excellent fuel economy, stylish looks Mazda 626 was produced that it became known for its extremely high failure rate thus making the change in 1994 to the CD4E an irrelevant one. It is widely known to transmission specialists that the CD4E overheats due to a poorly designed valve body and torque converter

Reliable
So far this car has been good to me. Takes over our mountain roads no problem and preforms well in the snow. Little small for our family of five but a good commuter car

Very Reliable and Long Lasting
I just rolled 404,000km in this car! Had no major issues with it since i have had it. Typical break work, muffler replaced etc but engine still runs great!

Not a bad car.
Owned this vehicle for 15 years... No problems until 180,000km. All at once the water pump stopped working, within a year the radiator stopped working, air box 'cracked', transmission blew, rust took over. It was a good car up until that point. I'm guessing there aren't too many of these still on the road today.

Mazda 6
Correct. Not impressed by the noise and all the little annoying poorly design details. Had to bring it in four times in three months to fix a noise before they finally figured what it was. after three more months of relative peace the noise is back

Mazda 626
It is a pretty decent car. I am having a couple problems (i bought it used) but it still runs pretty good. once it is fixed it will be good as new again!! i love the sunroof :)

good ol' betsy
It was a cheap used car that I planned on having for a year maybe two ... it lasted over 5 years with almost no major repairs.
I would definitely consider a Mazda again - cheap reliable transportation - definitely value for money

Fab Comfort, Labouring Drive
The interior is comfortable and roomy, the driver's seat isn't the easiest to adjust and I can never get it feeling just right. The radio malfunctions constantly (it's stock), the heater/air conditioner is always pumping (even at 0), but other than that the car is solid.

Acceleration could leave more to be desired, although as a touring car it does its job well. Performance, usually a token of Mazda ingenuity is lacking, the 626 is definitely a vehicle for the over 40 crowd.

Does not owe me a thing
This vehicle has been so reliable. It does not owe me a cent. It still runs like a charm. The only problems I have had is I get some moisture in one of the lights and the engine light comes on and off.

This was not given credit as accord and camary were stealing the show. The 626 was a better equiped then camary and $4000 less.

1996 Mazda 626

Trim: 626 CRONOS LX V6

Reliable family car
Lots of power with small block v6 164 horsepower, handles well, fun to drive. Second owner reliable with regular maintenance no surprise. The only thing gone after 15 years of ownership is the electric door locks. Went from BC to St John no problems. Lots of room in the back and quiet highway and city driving. Upgraded the driving lights to PIAA lights now have good night visibility.
