Mitsubishi Outlander 2008Change

I have owned my 2008 Outlander since new and aside from road abrasion on the front of the rear fenders, I have not had a single problem after 160,000 KM. It is the most reliable and most capable car I have ever owned, and I have owned many cars. The 2.4 l engine with its variable valve timing is quite adequate and the CVT transmission is smooth and accurate. Living in BC, I downshift often to control the speed and it handles it easily. Last year I was getting nervous having not replaced the brake pads ever. I did the replacement but I needn't have as the old pads still had tons of material. Mileage is good with 9l/100 city and 8l/100 HW. I love the ability to select FWD, 4WD, and 4WD locked diff. AWC works great too if I get on ice or any other slick surface. ABS also works well. I am always impressed by the smooth ride, the quiet cabin and the great sounding sound system. Cargo room is outstanding and even better with the rear seats down. The split tailgate is very handy for heavy items although I notice MIT has discontinued this on newer versions. Unfortunate. If I were to buy another car, it would be an Outlander, but I love this car so much that won't happen anytime soon. If you find a nice one, buy it. You won't be sorry.

It is a very practical realiable vehicle. It has all the comforts of a mini van with out the look of one. Lots of room for seating and lots of room for groceries. Very easy to drive feels like a car!!

Lots of great features (Blue Tooth, Cruise Control, On-steering controls, heated seats) available in all trims. Attractive exterior. 10yr/160K Power Train Warranty.

This suv/cuv seems to be a real underdog.

Overall I have absolutely no major complaints. Lots of cargo and passenger room. Good for a growing family that wont break the gas-tank-bank. 40-$50 to fill. Lasts me just over a week of driving every day short and longer commutes.
Decent power @ 220hp. Nice large 18" stock wheels. ono the fly 4wd is nice and has gotten my unstuck many times.

Will definitely be buying a new one soon.

Mitsubishi's mechanics don't know how to repair minor issues, getting an appointment is difficult and after many issues with my car, after the warranty has ended it still gives me problems and all of the strut issues and alignment issues have never been resolved since day one.

My wife has this vehicle. I have to say over the past few years i have driven it i am really impressed. It is very nippy and has great fuel economy. Overall i would say this is a great crossover.We have owned this form new and have had zero problems.
